Hello and welcome to the blog! Today I am sharing a few ways to add a WOW factor to your your card designs with WOW Embossing Powders. I am going to share with you a few tips and tricks to elevate any card design.
Adding a WOW Factor:
My card today features the Falala Friends Stamp Set (from Alex Syberia) and coordinating Falala Friends Dies. To start with the drama of the card I used a layering heart stencil for the background. Along with three different embossing powders. I used Polished Gold Super Fine, Primary Apple Red Super Fine, and Flaming Luster Embossing Powders (from WOW). I also did double embossing with Polished Gold Super Fine Embossing Powder and the Tiled Hearts Embossing Folder (from Spellbinders).
(Wondering what I used in this video/project? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
Double Embossing:
To ink up the embossing folder I used my Brayer and a little of my WOW Slow Dry Embossing Ink. You are going to ink up the brayer and then ink up the raised side of the embossing folder. Once you run it throught your die cutting machine simply poor on your chosen embossing powder and heat set.
Adding a Embossed Sentiment:
For my sentiment I used the Expressing Gratitude Stamp Set (from Alex Syberia) and the matching Expressing Gratitude Die. This is a great sentiment set, becuase you stamp all of them at one time and then the die cuts all of them out at one time. I stamped it with my Clear Embossing Ink and used my Opaque White Super Fine Embossing Powder (from WOW) on Pitch Black Cardstock (from Hero Arts).
