Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing the Be Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card for this months Paper Pad Pizzazz Series. This month I used the Lucky Gnome Stamp Set from Woodware as the focal image on the card.
Be Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card | Paper Pad Pizzazz Series | Woodware's Lucky Gnome Stamp Set
The Paper Pad Pizzazz YouTube Series is focused around using a budget friendly pad of pattern paper (from Hobby Lobby) to create beautiful seasonal card designs each month. The series features the Four Seasons 4 Pattern Paper Pad on all the cards. This is an 8 1/2" x 11" pad of paper so you can get four A2 card fronts from each sheet in the pad. Some months I may use one, two, even all four of the patterns in that theme. The Four Seasons 4 Pattern Paper Pad has different themed papers for each month and season of the year inside. So it's perfect to create fun colorful cards with things you may have in your stash.

This month I picked the two shamrock pattern papers and the green and gold plaid pattern in that section of the paper pad to focus on. One of the shamrock patterns is a larger print and the other is a smaller printed design. To go along with my theme this month I picked the Lucky Gnome Stamp Set (from Woodware). Woodware stamps are a good price point and they are a nice size as well. The large size of the images makes them super easy to color.
To color up the little gnome I used my Honolulu Brush Markers (from Ohuhu). I have the 320 set of brush markers because I wanted as many colors as I could get. I love these markers they are super easy to color with once you swatch the colors out to see them. This make it easier to pick your color combos. I shared a video about my top 10 marker hacks to imrove your coloring skills last week and I talked about swatching your markers and why in that video. I will link to that video here if you missed it.
For the gnome I decided to do his skin tone on the more yellow side of the skin tone spectrum. I used these color combinations to color the image. And these are listed darkest to lightest.
Skin - BR2, Y140, Y130, & Y20.
His Hat - G470, GY2, GY3, & GY4
His Outfit - G470, Gy2, & GY3
3 Shamrocks & 1 feather in the hat - G1, G3, & G8
Other Shamrocks - G470, GY2, & GY3
Hat Band, & Pot - NG09, NG07, NG06, NG03
Heart & other Feather - R6, R2, R70
Shoes & Horseshoe - NG06 & NGO3 (Tip to Tip to blend)
Gold in Pot & Shoe Soles - Y180, YR33, Y140
Beard - CG2, CG02, CGII00, & Clear Blender
Once I got the coloring done I did fussy cut him and the two other shamrocks out. I did cut out the plaid pattern and a piece of yellow cardstock with my Layering Arches Dies. For the yellow cardstock I used Buttercup Cardstock (from Concord & 9th). For the arches I used the third and fourth dies in from the outside. I finished off the card by adding a little white gel pen detail and a little glitter to some of the areas with my Clear Overlay Glitter Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir. I also added a Sour Apple Rhinestone (from Pajama Crafter Stamps) to the center of each shamrock.
