Step 1: Preparing the Card Base

Start by selecting a high-quality cardstock in the color of your choice for the card base. Trim it to your desired size, ensuring it's large enough to accommodate the design elements. For a clean and simple look, a standard A2-sized card (4.25" x 5.5") works well. Fold the cardstock in half to create the card base.

Step 2: Adding Background Texture with the Infinite Petals Stencil

Lay the Infinite Petals Stencil over a card panel cut from smooth white cardstock. Secure it in place using removable adhesive or washi tape. Select a coordinating dye ink color and apply it to the stencil using a blending brush, creating a subtle textured background or to use as part of your die cut sentiment. Make sure to blend the ink evenly for a seamless effect. Remove the stencil and set aside the cardstock panel to allow the ink to dry completely.

Step 3: Creating the Oversized Friend Print Die

Using the Oversized Friend Print Die, die-cut the intricate design onto a contrasting cardstock color or panel that you have ink blended the Infinite Petals Stencil design onto. The die will create a stunning focal point for your card. Carefully remove the die-cut piece from the die, and set it aside. Cut the shadow layer from black cardstock.

Step 4: Assembling the Card

Once the ink is dry, dry emboss with an embossing folder another piece of white cardstock. Adhere the panel to the card base with strong adhesive. Then you can adhere the Oversized Friend Print Die-cut pieces onto the card base, aligning it centrally or in a position of your choice. The contrasting colors will make the design pop and draw attention to your friend's achievements.

Step 5: Adding a Sub-Sentiment

Select a sentiment stamp that complements the occasion and friendship. Stamp it onto a contrasting cardstock color using a coordinating ink pad. Carefully trim around the sentiment, leaving a small border. Adhere it to the card base, positioning it in a way that complements the overall design.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

To add a touch of elegance and dimension to your card, consider embellishing it with small sequins, enamel dots, or a bow made from coordinating ribbon. However, remember to keep the design clean and simple, ensuring the focus remains on the beautiful die-cut and sentiment.
