Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am creating a stunning balancing mouse wreath card with the Rotating Stamp Platform for this months Gingerbread Greetings Video Series. This was my first time playing with the Rotating Stamp Platform and I will share my thoughts in this post.
Creating a Stunning Balancing Mouse Wreath Card with the Rotating Stamp Platform: Video Tutorial
As I mentioned above this was my first time playing with the Rotating Stamp Platform (from Creative Craft Products/Craft Stash). I also paired it with the Balancing Mouse 3 x 4 Stamp Set (from Gerda Steiner Designs) and to add a little color to my projects I picked the Christmas Time 6 x 6 Paper Pad (from Echo Park) and colored it all with my Ohuhu Brush Markers.

Rotating Stamp Platform:
So, my first impressions of the Rotating Stamp Platform I wasn't sure when I saw it on YouTube. But after getting it and playing with it I was very surprised at how easy it was to figure it out. I still have to play with it for a little while to get used to it but I found it super easy to do a simple wreath like I did on my Balancing Mouse Wreath Card. I am very happy with it and think it was a good investment.
And when I say investment I don't mean that it was expensive, it's actually priced very affordably. At the time of this post it's only $28.99 on the Craft Stash US website. I actually found it easier to use then Gina K Designs Wreath Builder. But they are two totally different tools.
Ohuhu Color Combinations:
I colored everything up with my Ohuhu Brush Markers that I purchased a few months ago. For my color combinations today these are the combos that I came up with to match my pattern paper. I have the colors listed darkest to lightest.
Mouse - BR1, E370, E170, BR3
Santa Hat - R180, R3, R2, R160
White on Santa Hat - CG2, CG020, 0 (colorless blender)
Red Ornaments - R180, R3, R2
Green Ornaments - G330, G9, G410
Mouses Tail & Gold Ornaments - Y9, E240, E220
I know that some people are not into Ohuhu Markers and that's okay, but I purchased them because that's what I could afford. And I love them. I also always teach here that you use what you can afford and what you have. I would also like to say don't always believe what you hear from people downing a brand.
Christmas Time Patter Paper Pad:
My my pattern paper I picked three patterns from the Christmas Time Pattern Paper Pad. This pad has been out for a little while and I just purchased it. I've had my eye on it for a little while, and I am so glad I got it. It has some traditional colors and patterns in side. For my patterns I picked a foliage pattern with a small print to use as the background pattern. I paired it with a pattern that has strips of green and slightly larger patterns of a sleigh presents and trees. I then paired it with a fun red buffalo checked pattern that is close to a tone on tone pattern.
Echo Park will often do their paper pads in two 6 x 6 sizes. One is just a standard amount of pieces of paper and the Mega Pack is double the pieces at a more affordable price. The only way to know the difference is that the bigger amount of paper has mega in the name. So that pack is called Christmas Time 6 x 6 Mega Paper Pad. So, I did link them both in the supply list below, in case you wanted to pick the one that is best for you.
