Fishing You a Happy Birthday Card - Simon Says Stamp

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun masculine birthday card to share with you using a past stamp set from Simon Says Stamp from one of their monthly kits. Here's a look at the card that I created to share with you today.

For the background I did a little dry embossing with a stencil and then used some matching ink to create a halo effect around the sentiment. I used three different colors of inks for the halo; I used Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, and Parakeet Party Inks.

I stamped the fishing you a happy birthday sentiment in Versamark Ink onto a circle cut from Basic Black Cardstock and covered it with Gold Detailed Embossing Powder before heat setting it.

To finish off the card I stamped three fishes and colored them with Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends. I cut each one out with my Paper Snips and added them to the card front.
