Hello and welcome back to the blog; happy Saturday! Today is Day 20 of the Holiday Card Series. For today's card, I created a shaped Christmas Tree Card to share with you today along with a step by step video tutorial.
I created the shaped card base by using my Nested Fur Tree Dies (from Scrapbook.com) and did partial die cutting on the fold of the card. I found it was easier to die cut the card as it was folded to create the shaped card base. Next I heat embossed the sentiment on the card base and stamped and colored the focal image. Both the sentiment and the cute little mug came from Holiday Mug Shots Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs. I also cut out the litttle mug with the coordinating Holiday Mug Shots Dies. To color the image I used both of my Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Brush Markers Sets. I suggest you get both the Regular Set and the Extended Set for better blending. Before attaching my sweet holiday cup I ink blended the card base with three differnt shades of green Distress Inks (colors used listed below). To finish off the card I splattered on some white acrylic paint and some of the Gilded Shimmer Splash from Brutus Monroe.
