Holiday Card Series 2023 - Tis the Season Watercolor Card

Hello and welcome back to the blog; happy Monday evening! Today is Day 18 of the Holiday Card Series. For today's card, I created a 'Tis the Season Watercolor Card to share with you today along with a step by step video tutorial.

I created the watercolor panel by using my Nested Fur Tree Dies (from Scrapbook.com) as a mask to trace my design onto my Canson XL Watercolor Paper. I then used my Sakura Koi Field Sketch Box to drop in the different watercolor pigments into each tree to mix in a wet into wet style. To finish off the card I stamped and heat embossed my greeting using the Merry Foliage Stamp Set from Hero Arts for the sentiment. Before attaching the panel to the card base I splattered on some white acrylic paint and some of the Gilded Shimmer Splash from Brutus Monroe. Then all I had to do was cut the panel to size and add it to my 4 1/4" x 11" (scored at 5 1/2") Neenah Desert Storm card base.
