Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to the blog; today I have a fun card to share with you that I made a few months back. I used a stencil from Ranger and my Water Brush Makers to color it in. Yes, you can use water media with a stencil if done correctly.
First thing first make sure that you use a low tack spray adhesive on the back of your stencil so that it will not shift on you. Ask me how I know that this is a big thing. Once you have the spray adhesive (I used Pixie Spray) on the back of your stencil and it has dried; it's time for the fun part.
Attach the stencil to your watercolor paper and press firmly.
Next you are going to use your water color brush pens to outline each section of the stencil and add the smallest amount of water with either a Water Painter or a watercolor brush dipped in a little water. This will get the pigment moving. But you have to be super careful on how much water you put down. You don't want it going under the stencil.
Once you have your artwork completed and it has dried you can cut it down and add it to your card base. Stamp a sentiment and attach add your embellishment and your done.
Happy Stampin'
Rick
