Simple Hello Card: Fabulous Fuchsias Bundle | OLO Markers

Creating cards that bring a smile to someone's face is one of the joys of card making. Today, I want to share a delightful project featuring the Fabulous Fuchsias Bundle and some of my favorite supplies from The Rabbit Hole Designs. This card is all about combining vibrant colors, playful patterns, and a touch of sparkle to create a simple yet stunning "hello" card.

Simple Hello Card:

The Inspiration Behind the Card

One of my favorite things about working with floral stamps is the endless color possibilities. The Fabulous Fuchsias Bundle is perfect for experimenting with color. I had received my OLO Markers a few months ago and couldn't wait to see how they would bring these beautiful blooms to life. There's something so satisfying about watching the colors blend seamlessly, creating depth and dimension on each petal.

Choosing the Right Background

When it came to the background, I knew I wanted something that would complement the vibrant fuchsias without overpowering them. Enter the Getting Inky 6 x 6 Pattern Paper Pack. This pack has a fantastic variety of alcohol ink designs, each one a mini masterpiece. A fun fact: these designs were created by a former Brand Ambassador for The Rabbit Hole Designs, who used real alcohol ink techniques to craft each pattern. This paper pack lets you enjoy the beauty of alcohol ink without the mess!

Adding Depth with Stencils

To create a serene sky backdrop, I used the Clouds in My Coffee Stencil. This stencil is incredibly versatile and makes it easy to achieve a soft, blended look. I used my Cotton Tail Blending Brushes with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, shifting and flipping the stencil to create layers of fluffy clouds. Pro tip: flipping and shifting your stencil can give you more variety and a more natural look to your backgrounds.

Assembling the Card

With my background complete, it was time to assemble the card. I matted the sky panel with a piece of Purple Wine Cardstock to add a subtle frame, then adhered it to my card base with foam tape for a bit of dimension. Arranging the fuchsias was the most enjoyable part. I wanted them to look like they were hanging gracefully from a vine, adding a touch of whimsy to the design.

Finishing Touches

No card is complete without a sentiment. The Sentimentally Speaking Stamp Set has the perfect "hello" sentiment for this card. I stamped it in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and used the coordinating die to cut it out. A few Clear Sparkle Enamel Dots around the sentiment added just the right amount of sparkle.
