Step-by-Step Instructions

Preparing the Card Base

Let's start with our A2 top-folding card base. For this design, we'll be die-cutting the bottom edge to create a stunning border.

Pro Tip: When die-cutting vellum, use a metal shim to ensure clean cuts without tearing the delicate paper.

Hot Foiling the Card Front

Hot foiling adds such a luxurious touch to any project. For this card, we'll use the Pressed Bouquet Press Plate along with Moondust Glimmer Hot Foil.

Pro Tip: For the best results, make sure your cardstock is smooth and your foil is free from wrinkles before foiling.

Adding the Sentiment

A well-placed sentiment can truly elevate your card design. For this project, we’re using the sentiment "I think you are pretty great" from the New Beginnings Timeless Sentiments Betterpress Plates set.

  • Use the Betterpress Black Ink Pad to impress the sentiment onto the card front. I positioned mine in the top right corner for a balanced look.

  • The crisp, clean impression of the Betterpress system ensures your sentiment stands out beautifully against the foiled background.

Finishing Touches

To complete the card, we’ll add some final touches that tie everything together.

Pro Tip: When adding strips of cardstock, use a strong adhesive to ensure they stay in place, especially if your card will be handled frequently.
