Hello and welcome to my blog; today we are looking at two springtime birthday cards that I created using the two of the February 2024 Club Kits from Spellbinders. I get the Stamp & Die Club and the Embossing Folder Club each month. But I love them all would like to get them at some point.
Two Springtime Birthday Cards: Spellbinders February 2024 Club Kits | Coloring with Tombow Markers:
My cards today feature the Stamp & Die Club Kit and the Embossing Folder of the Month Club Kit for February 2024. I also used some pattern paper for the cards that I got in a pattern paper pad from Joann's. It was the Spring Pastel Paper Pad, and it was so nice to use. I also colored all the images with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers.

February 2024 Stamp & Die Club:
The February 2024 Stamp & Die Club features the Lily Arch Clear Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set. And it's perfect for making cards, decor, and so much more. Spellbinders did suggest that you need to cut the arch out first and then stamp and I can totally see how it made it easier to line up and stamp correctly. The delicate arch would be very hard to line up otherwise.
I stamped the image in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I knew I was going to do my coloring with a limited pallet of Tombow Dual Brush Markers. And you want to use the Bristol Smooth Cardstock anytime you want to blend water-based markers. Otherwise you are not going to get a smooth blend of color.
Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month:
The February 2024 Embossing Folder is called the Swirling Blooms Embossing Folder. And it is so pretty. This is a 2D embossing folder, but you can fit two A2 sizes pieces of paper or an half sheet of cardstock inside to emboss with the Spellbinders folders; which is one of the reasons I love them. Plus the price point for the clubs are a great value. I embossed one of the pieces of the Spring Pastel Pattern Paper (from Joann) and had no issues with this paper what so ever embossing.
Finishing Touches:
Once I had all the cards put together and added the sentiments, I added just a little bit of Stardust Stickles to the flowers and the buds to add just a little glitter. In the video I did give a tip on using white cardstock scraps for the sentiments but coloring them with your markers to get a colored cardstock look.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a fabulous day. I have linked to the Spellbinders Clubs if you are interested in subscribing. You can check out all the benefits for club members on their website as well. The last day to get this month's kits is today (February 27th). But I will tell you I have not been disappointed in any of the clubs I have signed up for. And I am not an affiliate I just love these clubs and think you will too.
