Unique Holiday Gift Tags: Snow Lady Stamp Set | Pajama Crafter Stamps

Every year around this time, I start feeling that familiar holiday buzz. Christmas in August has become a bit of a tradition for me—it's the perfect excuse to dive into festive projects while the sun is still shining. This year, I decided to whip up some unique holiday gift tags featuring the adorable Two Snow Ladies Stamp Set and those perfectly sparkly Lump of Coal Rhinestones from Pajama Crafter Stamps.

Why gift tags, you ask? Well, gift tags are like the cherry on top of a perfectly wrapped present. They’re small, simple, and oh-so-fun to personalize. Plus, they’re a great way to use up all those little bits of paper and supplies that we all have stashed away.

Using Up Those Scraps: A Crafter’s Delight

I’m a big believer in using what you have, and this project was a perfect example of that. I had some scrap watercolor paper sitting around—leftover from another project where I just couldn’t bring myself to toss those perfectly good pieces. These scraps were cut down to 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" for reasons I can’t quite remember, but they turned out to be the ideal size for gift tags.

I also dug into my Noel Pattern Paper A2 Pad from my stash, which is brimming with beautiful Christmas-themed designs. It’s always satisfying to give those scraps new life, especially in such a festive and creative way.

Bringing the Snow Ladies to Life

Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show—the Two Snow Ladies. This stamp set is one of my favorites for holiday crafting. There’s just something so charming about these snow ladies, and they’re incredibly fun to color. I stamped them onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I always reach for Neenah when I’m planning to use alcohol markers because it gives such a smooth and vibrant result.

Speaking of markers, I used my trusty Oahu Alcohol Markers from Ohuhu to bring these characters to life. The blendability of these markers is fantastic, and the range of colors really helps in adding dimension to the images. I kept the coloring festive and cheerful—lots of reds, and greens to keep things festive.

Pattern Paper Magic

Once the Snow Ladies were all colored and fussy cut (a task that’s surprisingly relaxing with a good pair of Cutter-Bee Scissors), it was time to get those tags dressed up. The Christmas pattern paper from the Noel Pattern Paper A2 Pad was a perfect match for this project. I love how the different patterns add so much interest and variety to each tag.

For some of the tags, I cut the pattern paper to 3" x 4", and for others, I used 2" x 3" or a 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" pieces. There’s really no right or wrong here—it’s all about playing around with what you have and what looks good to you. That’s the beauty of handmade projects; each one is unique.

The Finishing Touches

Once the pattern paper was adhered to the tags, I used Bearly Arts Liquid Glue to attach the Snow Ladies. This glue is a game changer—super strong with just the right amount of wiggle room before it sets. It’s my go-to for delicate projects like this.

To add a bit more flair, I cut some of the leftover pattern paper into fishtail banners and layered them onto the tags. A little extra texture goes a long way in making the tags pop. I stamped the sentiments in Versafine Clair Green Oasis Ink, which adds a beautiful, crisp finish that complements the holiday theme.

I also rounded the two top corners with my Crop-a-dile Corner Rounder, which gives the tags a nice, finished look. And of course, I had to add a bit of twine—12" of Ladybug Doodle Twine looped through the punched hole and tied into a neat slip knot.

No project of mine would be complete without a few final touches, so I added some highlights with a white gel pen and a sprinkling of Lump of Coal Rhinestones. These rhinestones add just the right amount of sparkle without being too over the top. They remind me of the little surprises you find in holiday decorations—unexpected but absolutely perfect.

Why Handmade Tags Make the Best Holiday Touch

There’s something incredibly special about adding a handmade touch to your holiday gifts. These tags are not just functional; they’re a way to share a bit of your creativity and love with the people you care about. Plus, they’re a fantastic way to use up scraps and supplies, making them both eco-friendly and budget-friendly.

The versatility of these tags is another reason I love making them. You can customize them for any holiday or occasion, just by switching up the colors, patterns, and images. They’re also a great project to do with friends or family—everyone can create their own set of tags, making it a fun, communal crafting experience.

Final Thoughts

Creating these holiday gift tags was such a joyful way to kick off my Christmas in August crafting. The combination of the Two Snow Ladies Stamp Set, Lump of Coal Rhinestones, and all those scraps from my stash made for a set of tags that I’m truly excited to use (and give away!).

If you’re looking for a fun, simple project that packs a big punch, I can’t recommend making your own gift tags enough. They’re quick, customizable, and a fantastic way to spread a little holiday cheer.

Happy crafting, and may your holiday season be filled with creativity and joy!
