Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing one of the cards that I made with the brand new House-Mouse Summer 2024 Collection from Spellbinders. There are four super cute House-Mouse Cling Stamp Sets as part of this collection and I am super excited to share one of them with you today. If you have followed me for awhile you know that I love House-Mouse images. House-Mouse stamps were one of the first stamps that I purchased when I started my card making journey.

On my project today I am featuring the brand new Pop! Cling Stamp Set from the House-Mouse Summer 2024 Collection from Spellbinders. I am also featuring the Meadow 80 lbs Cardstock Collection on my card today as well (also from Spellbinders). For the coloring I used my Prismacolor Colored Pencils to color up this adorable scene card.
I started out my card by stamping the adorable Pop! Cling Stamp onto a piece of Light Pick Cardstock from the Meadow 80 lbs Cardstock Collection that I cut down to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink onto the center bottom third of the Light Pink Cardstock from the Meadow 80 lbs Cardstock Collection. I colored the stamped image with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils starting in the shadow area with my darkest colors and working out with a very light hand switching between the midtone and the highlight colors for all my images. Once I had the first layer of color applied I gradually increased the pressure of my pencil application until I got the desired look I was after.
Colored Pencils Coloring:
The Pop! House-Mouse Cling Stamp features Monica the house mouse. So, I colored her in her traditional color scheme with my Prismacolors. For her fur I used the following pencils starting darkest to lightest; 1054, 1051, & 1050. For her skin I used; 1092, 1061, 1060, and 1059 in my Prismacolors. The House-Mouse Designs® is created and copyrighted by the talented Ellen Jareckie. What a wonderful collaboration with Spellbinders, I was so happy when they picked up the House-Mouse stamp line!
I used three different shades of pinks and yellow to color up the bubble gum bubble and the bee, and wrappers. For the sky I used three different shades of blue (two of which were cerulean blue, and light sky blue). I don't remember which of the blues the darker pencil was off the top of my head. I did add a little warm gray 70% and 50% along with black to the bee strips. For the grass I just picked three shades of yellow green pencils ( a light, medium, and a dark). For the writing on the wrappers I just picked the darkest shade of blue and went over the stamped letters.
Putting the Card Together:
Before putting the card together I used the two rounded rectangle dies from the A2 Gift Card and Envelope Etched Dies (from Spellbinders) to cut out the Light Pink Cardstock (from the Meadow 80 lbs Cardstock Collection) panel as well as the larger rounded rectangle one cut from Pitch Black Cardstock (from Hero Arts). Before adding them both to my A2 card base cut from Neenah Solar White Ultra Thick Cardstock.
I also stamped the on the inside of my card with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink along with a sentiment stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. Which are the same two ink colors that I stamped the outside sentiment on the 1/2" strip of Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

To finish off my card I added a little white gel pen highlight detail with my White Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in the number 10 size. Once the white ink had dried I added a little glitter with my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen to the bubble and the bubblegum wrappers as well as the bee's wings. I also added a little more glitter to the wings and highlights on the bubble with a Sakura Stardust Clear Glitter Sparkle Pen. I like the Stardust Clear Glitter Sparkle Pen because I can add super fine details of glitter to my projects in small areas. And there you have it my friends that's my card for today.
